This concoction made from various Minis went through the wars with me. We (my navigator and me) suffered a lot in never believing the stage times given to us, therefore, a lot of the time we were excluded due to the RAC 75% make-up rule. Mind you, the special stages were always fun. This picture is around 4a.m. in Huntingdonshires famous drainage fen area. The route had its fair scattering of cars that had left the road. Ours had suffered on an earlier special stage where the yump (bad bump approaching) marker was placed after the obstical. Consequently we lost our sump guard and sheared both front suspension shock absorber brackets (hence the gap between wheel and arch).
